Kenny Kruckenberg
August 19,1981 - June 19,2011

RubiconTrailFoundationKenny entered and left this earth with a zest for life and new experiences. He was known for his beautiful, sincere smile. He served his country in the US Marine Corp with a tour in Afghanistan and then returned to San Diego to pursue a career in underwater welding. He soon became a "salvor" a certified diver and welder and began traveling the world working in the water salvage industry. His love of life and quest for adventure led him to not only love the ocean but the California mountains.

Kenny first saw the Rubicon trail in 2005 on a camping trip to Loon Lake. This set in motion his desire to conquer the trail. First came the jeep, then retrofitting, and finally taking on the Rubicon Trail.

He loved the Rubicon. He respected the Rubicon. He would want it preserved for generations to come!
