Mercy Housing White Rock Village in El Dorado Hills (near El Dorado Hills Town Center / Target) provides after-school programs for its youth residents. High school age Hands4Hope participants will lead games and activities, help with homework, pass out snacks, do light cleaning, and provide extra supervision. This opportunity has been on hiatus for a while, but it used to be a very popular one and we are thrilled to be able to bring it back!Commitment: No ongoing commitment required. Sign up when you’re available or as much as you like. We are overflowing with gratitude! A heartfelt THANK YOU to The Latrobe Fund for awarding our Grow MORE Together Garden Program a generous grant. This is the very first grant written by the people we serve. How incredible is that?!This funding is more than support for a garden. It is an investment in dreams. Because of The Latrobe Fund’s generosity, our participants will continue expanding their skills in planting, nurturing, and harvesting, while working toward their goal of one day running their very own garden stand where they can proudly sell fresh vegetables, seedlings, and beautiful hand-picked flowers to the community. This is what empowerment looks like. This is what opportunity feels like. And this is how we grow Full Inclusion for All.Thank you, The Latrobe Fund, for believing in our program and in the incredible individuals who make it bloom. #ElDoradoCounty #community #fullinclusionforall #MORE #thankyouforyoursupport #LatrobeFund ... There’s never been a better time to give! (and you still have time before December 31!)Recent tax law updates make 2025 a unique, one-time opportunity to maximize your impact and your tax benefits. Donate before the end of the year to: secure higher deductions while they last, bundle donations to increase your tax savings, and support your favorite causes over time, on your own schedule. Here are four smart ways to give before year-end:1️⃣Bundle your giving and give to a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) at the Foundation!Make multiple years of contributions now, secure a larger 2025 deduction, and distribute funds to causes you care about over time before new deduction limits hit in 2026.2️⃣Open a Corporate Advised Fund, which is a Donor Advised Funds for companies and organizations that allow you to outsource your organization's charitable-giving program for expert management and maximum impact. Corporate Advised Funds are an excellent alternative to creating a private foundation and allow your business to embrace strategic giving and community engagement as part of your overall company philosophy.3️⃣Use a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to join Friends of the Foundation! If you’re 70½ or older, a QCD lets you donate directly from your IRA, reduce your taxable income, and directly support the on-going impactful work of the El Dorado Community Foundation. This option is always available and is not affected by the upcoming law changes.4️⃣Give Appreciated Securities! Donate stocks, bonds, or mutual funds that have grown in value and avoid capital gains tax while receiving a deduction for the full fair market value.Your generosity strengthens El Dorado County and giving before year-end ensures your support reaches even further. Make a tax-smart gift today!Give with purpose. Give with heart. Give before midnight, December 31. ... See MoreSee Less
