This year, with the help of several generous Donor Advised Funds and community members, El Dorado Community Foundation's Endow El Dorado Grant Cycle awarded a total of $133,500 across 20 different nonprofit organizations doing amazing work all throughout El Dorado County.![]()

Our community, our Club, and those that knew her, have all lost a true champion this week with the passing of Maureen Carter. Her vision of what philanthropy could do for the community she called home has transformed what giving looks like in El Dorado County. ![]()

We take the lessons we learned from Maureen. To be gracious, to be kind, to be generous, to laugh and to love. We take these lessons with us, and we pledge to carry on the work she believed in. This exciting investment in our region will help train the next generation of firefighters, EMTs, forestry professionals, and emergency responders through hands-on, real-world learning opportunities.![]()

BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Christa Campbell has served on the board for over 15 years, following earlier involvement as a volunteer and member of the fundraising committee. Reflecting on her tenure, she shares that her proudest moment was “the renovation of the old ‘bowling alley MORE,’ which transformed into today’s state-of-the-art facility—expanding opportunities and resources for clients, families, and staff.” Christa holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Sacramento State and dedicated 25 years to supporting students with special needs in the Mother Lode Union School District as a teacher.![]()

Our April Client - Program Spotlight is Lorena F. and our Supported Employment Program (SEP). Lorena has been employed with Marshall Medical Center for 25 years through SEP. "Going to work makes me feel great. I love my job." Lorena's job involves organizing papers, computer skills, Zoom meeting facilitation, and answering phones. Always the professional Lorena kept her duties high level as she stated she adheres "to the highly confidential" requirements of her position. She said "I really like the people I work with.
