Foundation Accountability

The El Dorado Community Foundation is a grantor, facilitator, and convener, contributing to the health and vibrancy of our communities in El Dorado County, including South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado Hills. Hundreds of individuals, families, and nonprofits partner with us utilizing the Foundation’s services and expertise to realize their philanthropic dreams.

Established in 1991 the El Dorado Community Foundation, through staff and volunteer expertise, has provided and continues to provide extraordinary fiduciary excellence combined with a concierge level of services. Accredited by the National Standards for Community Foundations, the El Dorado Community Foundation has provided a stable organization responsive to the changing economic environment. Additionally, the Foundation’s financial accountability is governed by a Finance Committee and an independent Audit Committee. The trust that is placed in us with each gift given is not taken lightly, and together, we are indeed living a life of purpose.

The Foundation’s Endowment pool is invested with CAPTRUST who value sound financial advice, integrity, and a commitment to service beyond expectation. They also value cybersecurity which you can read about here.
