<p class="">Join our volunteer community! Help reduce the risk of wildfires by creating defensible space around the historic buildings at the park. Volunteers will remove brush, soil, debris and tall grasses from the area to create a 5-foot perimeter around the building. They will then fill the cleared space with decomposed granite. This will inhibit flame travel and create a noncombustible barrier around the foundation of the house. Ages 16 and older welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their guardian). </p>
